Day I - Learn hand applique techniques while you work on a block from a new Piece O' Cake quilt. Each 15-inch block has a number of hand applique techniques that students always want to learn in class. Becky will provide the appropriate pattern for each student in class. This class is suitable for all skill levels. The 2-day classes include time to "color" your block and give you more time to sew in class. Supply list will be provided with class sign up. | ||

This workshop is for the beginner who has never punched before! A good part of the workshop will include a “Beginner Class” where you will learn how to punch and receive a wealth of tips and guidelines; but the ornament is small enough that you just might walk out of class with a finished project. If you do know how to punch and still would like to make the wee tree with us, please remember you will be “re-receiving” beginner information | ||

This beautiful Christmas Stocking is easy to do and can be ready for this Christmas. We will do a variety of line stitches and two different laid work stitches, as well as, beading techniques. Finishing for the stocking will be demonstrated. This is a stocking to stuff with those special gifts! Bring a pencil to trace the design, hoop, sharp scissors and Ott light if needed. | ||

In this intermediate class you will paint a 3 ½” x 5” box; punch a decorative design using four levels of gauge depth; clip some of the loops they punch; and try a relatively new DMC product called “Memory Thread”. You might not go home with a finished project, but you will receive detailed instructions for finishing at your leisure. | ||

Beginner to intermediate skill levels—This is a continuation of the fun we had last year with Posy Play. Learn how to play with fabric that has 8”, 12” or 24” repeats. Floral patterns work best for this quilt. You will need enough fabric that has at least 6 to 8 repeats and a sashing fabric! By the end of the class you will have mastered this unique block construction. Bring your machine and join in the fun. The combination is endless!!! | ||

Sewing machine appliqué is fun and easy. Sewing machine is required that can zigzag . Appliqué is a versatile art form that can be used on quilting projects, for garment decoration, for decorative home accessories and for many other items. Basically, appliqué is a technique of layering one fabric over another to create a colorful design. When done by machine, the design is finished using zigzag or satin stitches of various widths to secure fabric pieces to the desired location. | ||
